Cameron MossJunior Energy & Projects Engineer

    About

Cameron is a recent graduate from the University of Strathclyde, graduating with a MEng in Chemical Engineering with distinction. As part of the Erasmus exchange program on his final year he completed his master’s thesis at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. The thesis analysed the combustion of methane gas in the presence of an open cell foam catalyst this aims to reduce the amount of unburnt methane passing through the reaction space, this was analysed computationally using COMSOL Multiphysics software.

During the fourth-year design project at university Cameron’s group was tasked with designing a process which could produce squalene, an adjuvant present in vaccines. This involved many key aspects of process design such as: general process design, equipment design, economic analysis and feasibility, safety analysis as well as regulatory framework.

Previously Cameron had undertaken a summer internship at TUV-SUD Nel where he worked as a project engineer designing flow meter calibration systems for water, oil and gas.

Cameron throughout his time at university, had a strong interest in renewables and environmental engineering so is excited to be joining the Synergie Environ team and work towards becoming a chartered chemical engineer.
