About me

Calvin Graduated from the University of Glasgow with Honours in Mechanical Engineering in 2022. His passion for renewables stems from his time at university which propelled his interest and built key skills within the clean-tech sector. In his final year project Calvin was tasked with designing a fully mechanical device that gathered and transmitted environmental data from the surface of Venus. Due to the conditions on the planet’s surface, he was limited to solutions that used renewable energy sources. Therefore, through knowledge obtained from previous modules he was able to harness the high surface wind speeds as a means of power for the device, further developing his interest in the topic and industry.

Throughout university he developed skills such as communication/presentation, working with others across numerous engineering disciplines, project management and problem solving.

Calvin is excited to join the Synergie Environ team and looks forward to working on a range of projects that will help build his portfolio as he aims to gain chartership through IMechE.
