    About me

Sophie has been in the engineering industry for over 5 years after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a BSc in Environmental Sciences. She has a strong mathematical background choosing to specialise in this through university and her education.

While at SPIE UK Sophie helped undertake ESOS assessments for clients, and carried out the SECR in the business. Her standout piece of work while at SPIE was her work with a Sadlers Wells development and producing the Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) for the project; assessing the feasibility of using canals to deliver the equipment instead of via road deliveries. During her time at SPIE she was profiled in the FMJ magazine for her time in the industry and her experiences.

This work led her to Bouygues Energies and Services (now Equans), in which she undertook Measurement & verification for Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) on a large portfolio across the UK. energyPRO was a vital part of her work, in which she helped design schemes such as an ambient heat loop for a heat network across a university supplied by a data centre. In addition, to electrification of a refuse fleet, who’s demand was to be met by a ground solar array and battery storage.

At NCG Sophie was in charge of BD and feasibility surveys for new projects, developing detailed reports and presenting them to clients. This brought her to Synergie Environ in which she will support the team with her knowledge in the large-scale projects and feasibility modelling. Sophie has a particular interest in reclaimed heat and is excited to get involved with these projects going forward.
