EXPERIENCE
Previously coming from a heavy engineering background within the specialised Pipeline Production Team of Subsea 7, Michalis has gone on to lead multiple plant improvement, development, and optimisation projects, as well as Bio Energy EPCI installations for Synergie Environ alongside supporting low carbon feasibility studies to help deliver a more sustainable future. Notable projects include:
SPS Bio Plant Enhancement Project: Michalis is currently leading the delivery of a £8.5M Bio Energy Plant providing energy from Pharmaceutical wastes and novel high strength feedstocks which will become the first of its kind in the EU.
Balmenach AD Project: Client Project Manager for delivery of a £3M Bio Energy Plant to process 130m3 of whisky co-products (pot ale and spent lees) to produce 2000m3 of biogas each day, feeding a combined heat and power engine which will supply 200kW of power and 230kW of heat.
Lockerbie AD Project: Client Project Manager of a £15M Bio Energy Plant development utilising dairy wastes to generate green gas for injection into the local network; with the added challenge of the selected construction area being within an active treatment lagoon. The development was ultimately approved for construction and will go on to become the largest onsite dairy Bio Energy Plant in the UK.
LDB Plant Improvement Project: Client Project Manager overseeing works to optimise heat utilisation onsite and improve site bunding following demolition of redundant plant items.
