MEng Chemical Engineering
Mark is a graduate from the University of Strathclyde, graduating with a MEng in Chemical Engineering with distinction. Throughout his time at university, Mark studied a range of topics including environmental engineering and biotechnology, forming an understanding of renewable energy systems. In his final year he studied at Graz University of Technology in Austria where he completed his Masters thesis focusing on methanol production from waste carbon dioxide.
Prior to joining Synergie Environ, he worked with William Grant and Sons at a distillery in the North of Scotland within the central projects team. During this time, Mark carried out the specification and procurement of key process equipment for a large expansion project underway at the distillery. He was also responsible for liaising with contractors and suppliers to organise the arrival of this equipment onsite. Additionally, Mark gained operational engineering and manufacturing experience while interning with Suez at a manufacturing plant in East Kilbride.
