Ewan graduated from the University of Strathclyde with degrees in Chemical and Environmental Engineering. Since joining Synergie Environ, Ewan has worked across our three core business streams, leading, and supporting projects to develop low carbon solutions for a range of clients. He is responsible for developing and managing projects from feasibility to on site construction and commissioning. His current role primarily focusses on producing objective technical, commercial, and environmental assessments of opportunities for energy networks and on-site renewable energy generation projects. This involves working with a range of clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver projects and his strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and client first approach ensure projects are a success.
Prior to joining Synergie Environ, he spent two years with Veolia working across their energy, waste, and water businesses as a project engineer. Ewan worked on a range of projects, including overhauling the waste management strategy at Stanlow Oil Refinery in Ellesmere Port, optimising the performance of four District Energy Networks across London, and improving the energy efficiency of the Royal Liverpool Hospital. He also worked with Veolia’s operations teams on process safety improvements across a range of Veolia’s sites in the North West.
Whilst at Veolia, Ewan also assisted their business development teams in writing and winning tenders and, at Synergie, has continued to grow his business development skills, taking a leading role in the companies’ business development strategy and growth.
