Andrew graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering in 2019.
Prior to joining Synergie Environ, Andrew spent three years with Viridor Waste Management Ltd, now Viridor Energy Ltd. Firstly, as an Industrial Placement Engineer, then as a Graduate on the completion of his studies. With Viridor, Andrew worked at multiple Energy from Waste sites including Ardley-in Oxfordshire, Dunbar- in East Lothian, and Glasgow. Within each site Andrew was exposed to multiple areas of the business such as Engineering and Maintenance, Operations and Performance Improvement.
Andrew worked on various projects at his time with Viridor, with some including the Installation of a new Odour Control and Dust Suppression System, Site Energy Efficiency Assessment, Fuel Oil Pump Root Cause Analysis and Replacement, and Outage preparation for various sites. These projects were deemed necessary for continual improvement, environmental compliance and good governance. Where applicable, business cases were developed to secure funding for the projects, the projects followed the proper management of change process and project management to implement the changes.
