Inspiring young female Engineers

Great student visit in the office today, allowing young inspiring engineer Julie a glimpse of working life! Julie said her curiosity in a future of engineering has stemmed from her interest in renewable technologies and global climate change.  We began the day with an introduction to the company and a rundown of our current projects. This progressed into presenting the concept of Scope 1 and 2 emissions, including how these would be calculated. To give Julie some real-life experience we got her to calculate the Scope 1 and 2 emissions for her own household, with a discussion on possible parameters which could be influencing these results. Julie told us she had a great day and could see herself as an engineer in the future! We hope you keep in touch, was lovely having you.
