Delivering ESOS Phase 2

 In Blog

Our engineers are currently on a road tour of Scotland busy undertaking ESOS Phase 2 surveys across 12 audit sites for the National Trust for Scotland (NTS).

Several weeks ago they undertook an audit of Culzean Castle on a beautiful sunny day and this week sees our engineer Hanif Aryanmanesh touring the North and East of Scotland, to deliver the rest of the contract won to deliver ESOS Phase 2.

After delivering ESOS Phase 1 in December 2015, Synergie Environ won the follow up contract to deliver Phase 2. With the deadline for ESOS Phase 2 fast approaching (5th December 2019) many organisations such as the NTS took early steps to ensure that they comply with the upcoming legislation. We have developed a close relationship with them to understand their unique energy reduction needs in their historic buildings and our previous work identified opportunities to reduce energy costs by 15% and carbon dioxide emissions by ~1,000 tonnes per year across all of NTS sites.

Undertaking energy audits in historic and listed buildings requires careful consideration to maintain the materials, visual aspect and character of the building.

Call the team today for more information on how we can help you reduce your energy needs and comply with ESOS legislation.
