Previous Experience

Marina is a highly experienced Chartered Marketer with senior level project management and marketing communications experience in the waste, renewable, engineering and community sector, accustomed to developing, managing and implementing communications and PR strategies for both the public and private businesses. Marina has over 13 years multi stakeholder project management experience for a wide range of projects including devising, implementing and delivering highly successful marketing, PR, digital and social media campaigns and new initiatives for a diverse range of audiences. She has many years experience of delivering staff engagement initiatives including training, workshop development and delivery at all levels and has vast experience of public speaking and broadcasting on a wide range of topics (radio and TV).

She also has extensive experience of event management, for a range of size of events including running a series of rural road show events for businesses which spanned, Orkney, Shetland, Argyll & Bute, Western Isles and the Highlands.

Skills and Expertise

Marina has led the marketing and re-branding for the recent expansion of Synergie Environ Ltd which has seen the company double in size over the past year. Whilst working as Waste Aware Campaign Manager in the Western Isles, the campaign won two national awards in its first year of operation and achieved a 60% participation rate in an opt-in kerbside collection scheme, which is greater than the norm for non-compulsory schemes.

As a very experienced trainer, feedback time and time again suggests that her unique flair of workshop delivery ensures that the audience learn, adapt and pass on the messages from the session. She also has extensive experience of delivering third sector projects including securing funding for community initiative schemes. Having also worked in the  accountancy sector this has provided her with a solid financial base when delivering projects.
