SEL was commissioned to work as a member of the Design Team on behalf of a large housing association for two major social housing projects – one in Inverness and another in Bridge of Earn.  SEL’s provided an independent, objective and impartial feasibility and cost-benefit appraisal of alternative de-centralised renewable energy solutions for each development.

In both cases the findings recommended the development of medium-scale (200-250kW) biomass district heating systems which have since been taken forward.
