The project was developed in the Western Isles of Scotland and was to build the first AD plant in the UK to process source segregated bio-waste. Following an extensive and detailed scoping and tendering exercise the project was constructed as a thermophilic dry type digestor.

Uisdean Fraser was responsible for the project from initial inception, through concept development, outline design, securing project funding, detailed design, planning, procurement (including contract drafting and negotiation), contract management, permitting, staffing, site operational planning through to commissioning. He also acted as Client Project manager for the construction phase from construction start to project completion and commissioning.
